Albuquerque Homes Selling Albuquickly

Albuquerque, New Mexico Realtors report that in August and July, home sales reached over 1000, an area record, with fall sales continuing with lower numbers of listings. "August was hot!," exclaim Keith and Gina MacRae. "The number of sales reported for August 2003 was nearly as high as that reported for July: 1,054 sales in August 2003 compared to 1,110 reported in July 2003. So, for the first time ever, sales have exceeded 1000 in two consecutive months! The number of home sales last month was the second highest number of sales ever reported in the Albuquerque area for a single month, exceeded only by the number of sales in July.! This number represents 148 more sales than were made in August 2002 (1054 sales in August 2003 compared to 906 sales in August 2002, an increase of 16.34 percent). Over half of the month"s sales occurred in the $100,000 to $199,999 price range," they note. "The average sales price of a single family home was $175,730 compared to August of last year, an increase of nearly 7 percent!" Says Realtor George Russell, "Conditions are excellent for both buyers and sellers. Home values have been moving upward, on average, and many very desirable properties are seeing multiple offers." "Most of Albuquerque has increased both in sales volume and value increase," observes Realtor Linda Devlieg, "Some areas, especially in the La Cueva High School district area, have increased significantly in the last six months. New home construction is competitive with resale values." Click here to view current Market Conditions in your location.
